IT IS FINISHED I glorified you on the earth. I have accomplished the work which you have given me to do. (John 17:4) After this, Jesus, seeing that all things were now finished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, I am thirsty. (John 19:28) When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished. He bowed his head, and gave up his spirit. (John 19:30) by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. (Hebrews 10:10) Every priest indeed stands day by day serving and often offering the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins, (Hebrews 10:11) but he, when he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God; (Hebrews 10:12) For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. (Hebrews 10:14) I will remember their sins and their iniquities no more. (Hebrews 10:17) Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. (Hebrews 10:18) so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, without sin, to those who are eagerly waiting for him for salvation.
